Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DoE partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing curriculum for 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity theory
- Published work in quantum computing or top-tier physics journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
