Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum software-hardware interfaces
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Present findings at premier conferences like QIP and APS March Meeting
- Mentor PhD researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (VQE, QAOA, Shor's)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and calibration
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Passion for ethical quantum technology deployment
