Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure federal and private funding for advanced quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum computing research
- Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting qubits, ion traps, photonic systems)
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with HPC environments and quantum simulation frameworks
- Ability to secure research grants and lead technical teams
