Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define qubit architecture requirements
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical simulation tools
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects from conception to publication
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
