Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from government and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional quantum research teams
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing solutions for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum gates, and circuit design
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants (DARPA, NSF, DOE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to solve NP-hard problems
- Strong leadership experience in managing quantum research teams
