Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Develop error-corrected quantum architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum processors with classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and industry partnerships for quantum R&D initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information theory and hardware design
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 peer-reviewed papers)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and HPC environments
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing government grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA) and managing R&D budgets
- Strong background in cryogenic systems and microwave control for quantum hardware
