Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams developing quantum-resistant security protocols
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum communication networks
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or gate-based systems
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Expertise in superconducting qubit fabrication and cryogenic systems
