Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives with engineering teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
- Collaborate with government and industry partners on quantum security frameworks
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work with cryogenic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
