Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical implementations
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships with government agencies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our patent portfolio
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in real-world applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong track record of securing federal or industry research funding
- Ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
