Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive quantum computing curriculum development
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and industry partnerships for 2026 projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRL, Quantum)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and HPC frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Track record of translating theory into working quantum prototypes
