Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error mitigation techniques for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional projects with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD interns and guide next-generation quantum researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published record in quantum information theory or quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
