Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and AI optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical cloud infrastructure
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated success in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Experience securing government funding for quantum research initiatives
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and machine learning
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
