Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and quantum supremacy
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum-encrypted satellite communication systems
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DOE research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational complexity
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/NIH/DARPA preferred)
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing and Majorana fermions
- Track record of translating theoretical quantum concepts into scalable prototypes
