Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Lead experiments on qubit coherence and error correction in cryogenic systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier quantum conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
- Contribute to patent portfolios for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Demonstrated track record of high-impact quantum computing publications
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information
