Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the data collection strategy for the 2026 Census, ensuring alignment with modernization goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development of statistical models to predict demographic trends and census coverage.
- Collaborate with federal agencies and state partners to standardize data protocols and reporting frameworks.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization in census methodology.
- Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, including OMB guidelines and the Paperwork Reduction Act.
- Present technical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Demography, Public Policy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, census operations, or federal data management.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Stata).
- Strong understanding of survey methodology, sampling techniques, and data quality assurance processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience leading large-scale projects or cross-agency initiatives.
