We are building the infrastructure for the year 2026 and beyond. Aethelgard Systems is seeking a visionary Senior Architect to spearhead Project 2026, our proprietary next-generation quantum-computing interface. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise and forward-thinking strategic planning.
In this role, you will define the architectural boundaries of our flagship product, ensuring seamless integration between neural networks and cloud infrastructure. You will work directly with C-suite leadership to solve complex scalability problems that have stumped industry leaders for decades.
What You Will Do
- Lead the architectural design for Project 2026's core kernel and distributed ledger systems.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to our proprietary quantum-ready framework.
- Implement rigorous security protocols to protect sensitive data streams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX designers and quantum physicists.
- Drive technical decision-making and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Software Architecture, preferably within AI or FinTech.
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Expert proficiency in Python, Rust, and distributed system design.
- Experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq) is a major plus.
- Strong understanding of microservices, containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud-native architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant systems for high-traffic environments.
- Conduct code reviews and technical architecture reviews.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks in the development lifecycle.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI and quantum computing.

- Proven track record of delivering large-scale software products on time.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to the SF headquarters occasionally.
