Responsibilities
- Lead Weekend Maintenance: Oversee critical system deployments, patching, and maintenance schedules to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Code Excellence: Conduct rigorous code reviews and implement best practices for the weekend sprint team.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve high-priority production issues that require immediate attention outside of standard business hours.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and interns during weekend shifts, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system logs and metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize database performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the QA and DevOps teams to streamline the release pipeline.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Databases: Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB/Cassandra).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as part of a rotating schedule.
- Tools: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
