Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications using modern technologies.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, and backend engineers) to define feature requirements and technical specifications.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the engineering department.
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the application stack and optimize database queries and front-end rendering for speed.
- Testing: Implement robust unit and integration testing strategies to ensure application stability and reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Frontend: Proficiency in React, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Backend: Strong experience with Node.js or Python and RESTful APIs.
- Databases: Expert knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our San Antonio, TX office or be a local resident.
