Responsibilities
- Develop and implement horizon-scanning frameworks to identify disruptive trends impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Lead scenario planning workshops with executive stakeholders to prepare for future market disruptions
- Author forward-looking whitepapers and thought leadership on technology convergence and societal shifts
- Partner with R&D teams to translate foresight insights into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Present strategic recommendations to the board of directors with quantified impact projections
- Mentor junior futurists and cross-functional teams in adaptive strategy methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven expertise in scenario modeling, trend analysis, and systemic forecasting
- Deep understanding of emerging tech: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, and climate tech
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to distill complex futures into actionable strategies
- Published thought leadership in reputable futurist or business journals
- Experience designing and executing large-scale foresight initiatives with measurable ROI
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-shaping projects in tech or sustainability
