Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using Java/Spring Boot in AWS cloud environment
- Mentor 3-5 junior developers through code reviews and technical workshops
- Optimize database performance for high-volume transaction processing systems
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements to reduce deployment cycles by 40%
- Collaborate with Product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, SOC 2)
- Conduct quarterly architecture reviews to ensure system scalability and maintainability
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring Boot framework
- Expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, SQS) and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong background in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching strategies (Redis)
- Proven experience leading agile development teams and sprint planning
- Certification in AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud platform
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design and optimization projects
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with payment processing systems or financial APIs preferred
