Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using AWS and Kubernetes
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize system performance
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technology roadmap
- Ensure security compliance for government-contracted applications
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend development (Java/Python)
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization
- Strong background in RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, encryption)
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with government IT projects preferred
