Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and administer medications as directed
- Perform diagnostic tests including EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize equipment
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact with diverse patients
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Must pass background check and drug screening
