Responsibilities
- Freight Handling: Efficiently load, unload, and sort merchandise using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and stock counts, identifying discrepancies immediately.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure all items meet company quality standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Documentation: Properly complete shipping labels, packing slips, and digital logging systems.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shift supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and meet daily targets.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various warehouse environments.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners or RF guns.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
