Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign checks, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records and patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and exam room preparation
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Handle patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Florida Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to cover weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 7am-7pm)
