Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, mobility assistance, and daily living support
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection procedures
- Assist with patient documentation and electronic health record management
- Transport patients between departments and facilities safely
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Respond to patient emergencies and provide basic life support
Qualifications
- Current Georgia CNA certification required
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or acute care setting
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work weekends (Sat/Sun) with flexible scheduling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency for medical documentation
- Physical ability to lift patients and stand for extended periods
