Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist patients with daily living activities and mobility support
- Document patient observations and care activities in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of treatment
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Respond to patient emergencies following established procedures
- Support family education on home care management
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA or Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term care experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable transportation to cover weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
