Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Perform vital signs and collect patient specimens
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Administer basic medications and injections under supervision
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Flexible availability for Saturdays and Sundays
- New York State medical assistant license
