Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterilization and equipment readiness
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Administer injections and medications per physician orders
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Background check and drug screening required
