This role sits at the intersection of technology, sociology, and business strategy, requiring someone who thrives in ambiguity and turns foresight into actionable plans.
As a key member of our Innovation Lab, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives to anticipate societal shifts, technological disruptions, and market opportunities by 2026. You'll leverage cutting-edge research methodologies, data analytics, and cross-industry networks to develop scenarios that inform our product development, investment decisions, and corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Horizon Scan' reports identifying disruptive trends across tech, climate, and societal domains
- Design and facilitate scenario-planning workshops for executive leadership
- Lead cross-functional projects to prototype future-focused solutions (e.g., AI ethics frameworks, climate adaptation models)
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Translate complex future projections into strategic business imperatives
- Present findings to stakeholders through compelling narratives and visualizations
- Monitor emerging technologies and regulatory developments with 2026 implications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong background in at least two of: AI/ML, climate science, biotechnology, or urban planning
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization skills
- Published thought leadership in futurism or adjacent fields
- Experience facilitating executive-level strategy sessions
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-focused projects
