Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate adaptation systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with AI, biotech, and renewable energy specialists
- Design scalable prototypes for next-gen human augmentation technologies
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive paradigms pre-2026
- Present futures scenarios to C-suite and venture capital partners
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford Future Labs on open-source innovation frameworks
- Drive patent development for proprietary 2026-ready technologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Futurology, or Computational Physics
- 7+ years in R&D leadership at FAANG or equivalent deep-tech environment
- Published research in quantum machine learning or climate modeling
- Portfolio of implemented future-tech prototypes (AR/VR, AGI, etc.)
- Expertise in scenario planning using Delphi or Horizon Scanning methodologies
- Active membership in World Future Society or IEEE Future Directions Committee
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Security clearance for defense-contract innovation projects
