Responsibilities
- Architect and execute a comprehensive innovation roadmap targeting 2026 technological inflection points
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, advanced materials) with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives spanning engineering, design, and product development teams
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry disruptors
- Present innovation frameworks and future-state scenarios to C-suite executives and board members
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track innovation ROI and market readiness for 2026 initiatives
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists and foster a culture of radical experimentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough technologies with market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI, etc.)
- Executive-level strategic planning and scenario modeling experience
- Strong background in intellectual property strategy and technology commercialization
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Advanced degree in relevant field (PhD/MSc preferred) with published thought leadership
