Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical frameworks for autonomous systems deployed in healthcare, finance, and transportation sectors
- Lead cross-functional research on emerging AI risks including deepfakes, autonomous weapons, and cognitive manipulation
- Develop audit protocols for generative AI systems to ensure compliance with evolving global regulations
- Collaborate with policy teams to shape 2026 AI governance legislation at national and international levels
- Author white papers and technical standards for IEEE and ISO AI ethics committees
- Mentor junior researchers through our Ethics in AI Fellowship program
- Present findings at global forums including the World Economic Forum and UN Technology Summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years AI ethics research experience
- Published work in top-tier AI ethics journals (e.g., AI & Society, Philosophy & Technology)
- Expertise in bias detection algorithms and fairness metrics for machine learning models
- Deep understanding of EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and emerging global AI governance frameworks
- Experience with adversarial testing and red-teaming of generative AI systems
- Strong background in moral philosophy (utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics)
- Proficiency in Python for ethical auditing tool development
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
