Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises to ensure the safety and security of assets and personnel.
- Control access points, verify identification, and maintain a log of visitors and incidents.
- Respond immediately to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations following established protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Prepare detailed written reports regarding daily activities, irregularities, and equipment damage.
- Conduct regular security checks of perimeter fences, doors, and windows to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Assist in the evacuation of buildings in the event of fire or other emergencies.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid DC Private Security Guard License (or willingness to obtain via our training program).
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy for logging incident reports and shift handovers.
- Must be willing to work varying shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
