Role Overview
As the Future Systems Architect, you will be responsible for defining the high-level architecture of our upcoming 2026 systems. You will work closely with R&D, software engineering, and mission operations to ensure our technical vision is executable, scalable, and secure.
Responsibilities
- Lead Architecture Strategy: Define and maintain the technical architecture for the 2026 mission roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of complex subsystems, including propulsion controls, telemetry, and AI-driven decision engines.
- Roadmap Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to break down high-level goals into actionable technical specifications and milestones.
- Technical Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., quantum computing, advanced AI) and assess their applicability to the 2026 mission.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all system designs adhere to stringent aerospace safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Team Mentorship: Guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems architecture, with a strong focus on large-scale engineering projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in C++, Python, and cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Project Management: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams through complex development lifecycles.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate abstract concepts into concrete, executable technical plans.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas to stakeholders.
