Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum applications, biotech integration, neural interfaces)
- Identify and evaluate breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and investment teams
- Develop patent strategies for proprietary future-tech solutions
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Establish industry partnerships with leading research institutions and startups
- Monitor global tech policy shifts affecting future-tech adoption
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic tech roles with demonstrated impact on future-facing initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Experience with technology forecasting frameworks (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Published thought leadership in future-tech publications
