Responsibilities
- Architect strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, post-silicon semiconductors)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in partnership with MIT and Stanford labs
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for acquisition/partnership
- Develop patent portfolios for next-gen computing architectures
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board of directors
- Mentor PhD researchers in applied futurism methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field (or equivalent breakthrough innovation)
- 5+ years in strategic tech planning at FAANG or equivalent scale
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum or AI advancements
- Proven track record of shipping production-level AI/quantum systems
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging tech
- Exceptional systems thinking across hardware-software-human interfaces
