Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026+ initiatives aligned with global sustainability goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling emerging technologies (quantum, bioinformatics, decentralized systems)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and market opportunities
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation culture through internal hackathons
- Secure and manage R&D grants totaling $5M+ annually
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500/Silicon Valley experience
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or climate tech
- Proven track record of launching commercialized tech products with global impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- Published author in peer-reviewed technology journals or industry whitepapers
- Certified in Technology Strategy Management (CTSM) or equivalent
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
