Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for emerging tech including Web3.0, neuromorphic computing, and biointegrated systems
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscaping for disruptive technologies
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate innovation into corporate strategy
- Present tech forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget and vendor ecosystems
- Drive thought leadership through whitepapers, conference keynotes, and industry forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record in scaling emerging tech solutions (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Strong network with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, UT Austin preferred)
- Published research or patents in future technologies or digital transformation
- Experience leading teams of 15+ technical professionals across global locations
