Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive horizon scanning for emerging technologies and socio-economic trends through 2030
- Develop and maintain future scenario models and strategic foresight frameworks
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops to translate foresight into actionable strategies
- Partner with R&D teams to validate and prototype future-facing concepts
- Present trend analyses and strategic recommendations to executive leadership quarterly
- Establish and nurture an external network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Author thought leadership publications on future trends and innovation methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field
- 8+ years experience in innovation strategy, trend analysis, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of developing scenario planning frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, Web3)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Strong presentation and storytelling abilities for executive audiences
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or Futures School)
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or implemented innovation strategies
