Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions in AI, biotech, and quantum computing
- Author quarterly FutureState Briefs for executive board, translating complex foresight into strategic priorities
- Curate exclusive Futurist Roundtables with industry disruptors and academic thought leaders
- Architect Horizon Labs' 2026 Technology Radar and patent pipeline
- Mentor innovation teams in speculative design and strategic foresight methodologies
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and tech policy summits
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercialized products
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leader with 50+ citations in futurist or innovation journals
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from School of International Futures)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-shaping initiatives launched since 2020
- Exceptional storytelling ability to articulate complex future scenarios
