Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2026+ strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize technological, social, and economic shifts into competitive advantages
- Author quarterly Future State briefings for executive stakeholders and board members
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prioritize breakthrough technologies with 2026 market impact
- Establish global partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Present future scenarios at industry conferences and investor summits
- Mentor junior futurists and build the organization's foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-oriented leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercial applications
- Expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
- Experience working with Fortune 500 executives on long-term transformation
- Proficient in foresight methodologies (Delphi, STEEP analysis, backcasting)
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization abilities
