Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain advanced diagnostic equipment including MRI, CT, and digital imaging systems
- Provide technical support during complex medical procedures with precision and efficiency
- Perform quality assurance tests on medical devices to ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize equipment functionality
- Document technical procedures and maintenance logs in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Train junior technicians on new equipment protocols and safety procedures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency technical support
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology or related field (or equivalent military/certification experience)
- 2+ years hands-on experience with medical imaging equipment maintenance
- Valid NM Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electronic systems and software interfaces
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and healthcare safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure clinical environments
- Valid driver's license with clean record for equipment transport
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
