We are seeking a skilled Night Shift IT Support Specialist to join our growing team in New York, NY. You will be responsible for maintaining system uptime and providing critical support to our clients during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and peripherals, to ensure 99.9% uptime during night operations.
- Respond to and resolve incoming technical support tickets, hardware failures, and software anomalies via remote desktop and on-site assistance.
- Execute scheduled system backups, security patches, and software updates to minimize disruption to day-shift workflows.
- Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect company assets and sensitive data.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance procedures in the centralized ticketing system (Jira/ServiceNow) for team review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration roles.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and standard productivity software.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and remote connectivity tools (VPN, RDP, TeamViewer).
- Ability to work independently and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
