Responsibilities
- Design and execute advanced quantum computing algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop error-correction methodologies for quantum systems
- Secure patents for novel quantum architectures and processes
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies to implement quantum solutions
- Present findings at premier international conferences (QEC, APS March Meeting)
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
