Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in drug discovery and climate modeling
- Design error-corrected quantum architectures achieving fault-tolerant operations
- Collaborate with DARPA and NASA on next-gen quantum communication protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science with 2+ annual publications
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants through NIH and NSF partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing top-tier quantum computing research
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems and quantum error correction
- Experience leading quantum software development teams using Qiskit/Cirq
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ-era limitations
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security
