Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Design and implement error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum systems with 100+ qubit capabilities
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor a cross-disciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and strategic partnerships with quantum industry leaders
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 7 years of quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience leading research teams with $3M+ budgets
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
