Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists in prototyping quantum solutions
- Develop roadmaps for quantum technology integration into enterprise systems
- Secure and manage $10M+ research budgets for quantum computing initiatives
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices in quantum error correction
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms with practical applications
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and hardware platforms
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research funding
- Experience leading teams of 15+ technical professionals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Clearance for government quantum security projects (or ability to obtain)
