Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, software engineers, and domain specialists
- Develop error-correction methodologies for practical quantum scalability
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through compelling technical proposals
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware pioneers like IBM Quantum and Rigetti
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum computing curricula for university partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, PRL, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and NISQ architectures
- Proven track record of securing federal grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant designs
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Strong background in quantum machine learning applications
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain) for government projects
