- Partner with industry leaders to translate quantum solutions into commercial applications
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research grants from federal and private entities
- Present findings at premier quantum computing conferences (e.g., Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Drive intellectual property strategy with 15+ patent filings annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent tier
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Demonstrated success securing government grants (DARPA, NSF) or venture funding
- Experience scaling quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Strong background in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Excellent leadership in multidisciplinary R&D environments
