Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize classical-quantum workflows
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DoD grants for quantum R&D
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 5+ years research
- Published quantum algorithm development experience (Shor/Grover variants)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface codes, LDPC)
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum machine learning (QML) architectures
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or topological quantum computing
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies (3+ granted patents)
